What is Feldenkrais? 

Developed by Moshe Feldenkrais, the Feldenkrais Method is an educational system focused on exploring the relationship between the body and mind through movement. This method allows you to better understand your body, make your movements more effective, and improve your quality of life.

Why is Feldenkrais important? 

The stress of daily life, poor posture, and habitual movements can cause various tensions and pains in our bodies. The Feldenkrais Method helps us rediscover our body's natural movement patterns by resolving these tensions. It is particularly effective for conditions such as back pain, neck pain, joint pain, herniated disc, stroke, and MS, and it also plays a supportive role in improving mental conditions such as depression.


How does Feldenkrais training work? 

Feldenkrais training consists of two main parts:

  • Awareness Through Movement (ATM): In these group classes, body awareness is increased through slow and gentle movements. Mind-body coordination is developed, and the ability to be present in the moment is strengthened.

  • Functional Integration (FI): In these one-on-one sessions, movements are designed based on the individual's specific needs. It is ideal for those who want to achieve faster and more effective results.

What do you need to start Feldenkrais training?

  • Comfortable clothing and a mat: Comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict your movement and a yoga mat will suffice.

  • Light food and plenty of water: It is important not to eat a heavy meal before class and to drink plenty of water.
